This piece imagines the possibility that one can hear a friend/neighbor at the edges of audible perception out of one's window.  An alternating sense of presence and absence is invoked through shared and diverging melodies, home recordings, spaces, and times - configuring relations within oneself and between two, folding us into the world as it entangles us with one another.

 

The piece also explores alternate modes of realization in the situation of social distancing - and can be realized either as a performance or a recording.
